Salvation from the Bible
1. In the eyes of the Lord, everyone is in the same standing before the God.
“As it is written there is none righteous no not one. . . . all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” (Rom. 3:10, 23)
2. God shows His love to us, even though we are sinners.
“But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Rom. 5:8)
3. Jesus, the perfect Son of God, died to pay for our sins and then rose again.
“Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures and . . . he was buried, and . . . he rose again the third day.” (1 Cor. 15:3)
4. Each of us must personally believe in God’s plan and by faith turn to Jesus and receive Him as our Savior.
“The Lord is . . . longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)
5. Everyone who believes on Jesus is saved from the judgment of God.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Rom. 10:9)
6. Those who believe should serve God with their lives.
“That they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them and rose again.” (2 Cor. 5:15)
